RAPP has received support from the Leadership Council, a council of Health Authority Chief Executive Officers and Ministry of Health leadership.
The Research Approval Processes Project (RAPP) is set to make improvements to the operational approval application process for research studies. Operational Approval, also known as an Operational Review, holds a crucial role in evaluating how a study may impact a Health authority’s operations.
RAPP is made up of three key streams of work, ethics, operations, and data access. The data access stream will be informed by Health Data Platform British Columbia’s (HDPBC) strategy that will enable a simplified, unified approval process for access to datasets that span multiple areas and organizations within the health sector.
