N2 Provincial Membership Renewed for 2022-2023

28 July 2022

Clinical Trials BC is pleased to announce a renewed province-wide membership agreement with N2 (Network of Networks). This renewal, which continues until April 1, 2023, is possible thanks to funding from Michael Smith Health Research BC.

N2 is an alliance of networks and organizations working to enhance national capability and capacity for clinical research and trials. Tools and resources available through its membership include educational courses (available via CITI-Canada), Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Tools, Tools to Engage Participants, and more.

Clinical Trials BC has funded and managed the provincial BC membership since 2017. Each member organization has a designated lead administrator who provides access to N2’s resources to their affiliated clinical health researchers or sites. View the member list

Did you know?

We facilitated membership for 20 academic and health authority research institutions and 12 community investigators across BC last year.

95% of organization administrators in BC found this membership extremely or very valuable in supporting their clinical researchers.

“The educational resources from N2 are invaluable. Also, over the years, VCHRI team members have had the opportunity to join N2 Committees. Currently, our Clinical Research Quality Assurance Specialist is part of the N2 Quality Committee and finds it of tremendous value to relate to research quality professionals across Canada.” – Stephania Manusha, Director, Clinical Research at Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute

2,072 new learners were registered and 3,652 courses were taken through the BC membership between April 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022.

One of the highlighted benefits of N2 membership is the access to an array of CITI-Canada Program’s courses on a variety of research related matters. For 2022 – 2023, the Clinical Research Coordinators (CRC) course is available to member organizations, along with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Health Canada Division 5, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), Biomedical Research Ethics, and Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR).
