Dr. Kishore Mulpuri is a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at BC Children’s Hospital (BCCH), as well as a professor and head of the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of British Columbia. He is the principal investigator for two of the largest pediatric hip registries in both size and scope, Global Hip Dysplasia Registry (GHDR) and Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis (SCFE) Longitudinal International Prospective (SLIP) Registry, both of which have over 30 centres around the world contributing data. Dr. Mulpuri’s clinical practice and research interests focus on the pediatric hip and cerebral palsy. In addition, he actively collaborates with the Centre for Hip Health and Mobility, as well as the UBC Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering. Dr. Mulpuri is also involved in several research projects that aim to improve the screening, diagnosis, and management of pediatric hip conditions, such as hip dysplasia (DDH), cerebral palsy (CP), Perthes disease, osteogenesis imperfecta, SCFE, and trauma. He has dedicated his career to research and recognize its importance in advancing clinical care.
