I have recently completed a National Institute for Health Research funded PhD at the Bristol Biomedical Research Centre in the United Kingdom. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in the department of Exercise, Nutrition and Health Sciences, in the School of Policy Studies at the University of Bristol.
My research explores the use of electrically-assisted bicycles (e-bikes) as a means of increasing physical activity and improving health in individuals living with chronic disease. I am particularly interested in developing sustainable pathways through which underprivileged individuals and those living with chronic disease can readily access e-bikes. As part of my research, I also examine the impact of e-cycling on transportation behaviour and the potential to reduce motorized vehicle use.
