Simon Dobri

Dr. Simon Dobri is a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Randy McIntosh’s lab at Simon Fraser University (SFU), where he studies sensory processing in aging and Alzheimer’s disease.

Simon obtained his BSc in physics from Queen’s University. He started his research career studying radiation dosimetry in Dr. Shirin Enger’s lab at McGill University, where he earned his MSc in medical physics. Simon pursued his doctoral studies in Dr. Bernhard Ross’s lab at the University of Toronto, where he used functional neuroimaging to investigate aging-related changes in central auditory processing. His doctoral work was funded through a Complex Dynamics NSERC-CREATE grant.

Simon is interested in the neural dynamics underlying sensory processing, and how they change throughout the lifespan and in brain disorders.
