Dr. Shannon Dames comes to the Health Professional Investigator role with a focus on research and development in the area of resilience and psychedelic-assisted therapies. With the support of a number of like-intentioned others and provincial and national grant support, she spearheaded the development of a community of practice program that facilitates resilience development: Roots to Thrive (RTT) and a psychedelic-assisted therapy program: RTT-KAT (Roots to Thrive + ketamine-assisted therapy). She comes to this lag of the journey with a long history working and leading on the frontline of healthcare, as a nursing professor, and resilience researcher.
