I am a postdoctoral research fellow with the BC Centre for Disease Control and the School of Population and Public Health at the University of British Columbia. I have a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies and research experience in the areas of pharmacoepidemiology and public health.
My recent work has focused on investigating the tapering of prescription opioids and studying impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on testing and treatment for viral hepatitis. My research has covered topics including the impact of drug safety advisories on medication use, nonfatal adverse events associated with opioid overdose hospitalizations, and transparency in clinical trial research. My work has often involved quasi-experimental designs to investigate the impacts of policies or events on health services use.
