Dr. Michael Adachi is an assistant professor in the School of Engineering Science at Simon Fraser University. He received his doctorate from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Waterloo in 2012 after which he completed postdoctoral research in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto.
Michael’s research program focuses on the development of new diagnostic sensors and devices using atomically thin materials called 2D materials. His team is collaborating with an interdisciplinary group of researchers to develop a new sensor that can rapidly detect biomarker proteins for Alzheimer’s disease.
