Dr. Meghan Winters is an associate professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University and a core investigator at the Centre for Hip Health and Mobility. She leads the Cities, Health, and Active Transportation Research (CHATR) Lab, with a research program focused on ways that cities and their infrastructure can play a role in promoting healthy and safe transportation, for people of all ages and abilities.
Dr. Winters conducts population health intervention research in the healthy cities context, studying impacts of changes to urban form such as investments in greenways, bicycling infrastructure, bus rapid transit, and other intersectoral policy actions. In her projects she works in close collaboration with cities and other stakeholders to conduct research and create tools that address real-world challenges.
