Marinko Sarunic

Dr. Marinko Sarunic’s research is devoted to developing non-invasive optical imaging systems to investigate diseases that cause blindness, with a particular emphasis on glaucoma and retinal degeneration. One of his main focuses is optical coherence tomography (OCT), a non-invasive, three-dimensional, micrometer-resolution imaging technique using interference of near-infrared light.

Sarunic’s laboratory designs and constructs high resolution OCT and fluorescence imaging systems for studies in ophthalmology and vision science.
