Kimberly Miller

I’m a physiotherapist, implementation scientist and practitioner embedded in the health system. As Senior Leader, Clinical Education in the Learning & Development Department at BC Children’s Hospital and BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre I lead a practice-based research and knowledge translation team that supports point-of-care interdisciplinary healthcare practitioners in generating and implementing evidence-informed improvements in practice and health services in partnership with patients, families, researchers, and decision-makers. The aim of this program and my research is to cultivate an inclusive learning health system culture that improves patient experience and outcomes, health service equity and performance, and builds healthcare practitioner engagement and capability.

I hold appointments as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy, University of British Columbia, Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University and as an Investigator at BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute.
