Karina Thiessen

Karina Thiessen is a Neuroscience PhD Candidate in the Behavioral Reward Affect + Impulsivity (B.R.A.I.N.) Lab. Broadly, her research interests include human neuropsychopharmacology, biopsychosocial risk factors of substance use and mental health disorders, and treatment development for these disorders. She has research experience in inpatient treatment settings, clinical trial development and implementation, and interdisciplinary methods to study mental health and substance use disorders. Karina also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Bachelor of Education, and a British Columbia teaching License.
