Juanita-Dawne Bacsu

Dr. Juanita-Dawne Bacsu is a Canada Research Chair (Tier II) in Nursing and Population Health and an assistant professor in the School of Nursing at Thompson Rivers University. She is also the founding Director of the Population Health and Aging Rural Research (PHARR) Centre. Juanita is a research associate with the Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging, the Saskatchewan Population Health and Evaluation Research Unit, and the Canadian Consortium for Neurodegeneration in Aging’s Team 15 Rural Dementia Care. Her research interests include dementia, stigma, gerontology, rural health, age-friendly environments, and health policy.
