Dr. Jill Dosso is a postdoctoral fellow in UBC’s Neuroscience, Engagement, and Smart Tech (NEST) Lab. She is interested in how people perceive and interact with social robotics and other new technologies in support of their brain health across the lifespan.
Jill works with families to think about how we can build social devices that are both ethical and helpful, with special focuses on children with anxiety and older adults living with dementia. Her work is intended to provide a framework for the ethical, evidence-based, and patient-centered deployment of novel technologies for brain health in Canada.
Her projects are currently funded by the BC SUPPORT Unit, an MSFHR Convening and Collaborating award, BC Children’s Hospital, and AGE-WELL.
