Dr. Jae-Yung Kwon is an assistant professor in the School of Nursing at the University of Victoria. He earned his PhD in nursing from the University of British Columbia in 2020, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship in partnership with the BC Ministry of Health and Trinity Western University.
The primary aim of his research program is to enhance person-centred care by tailoring health services for patients with progressive or life-threatening conditions. Person-centred mixed methods are employed, including latent class analysis and the development of personas, to contextualize the experiences of patients with varying patient-reported outcomes. His work has been funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Canadian Frailty Network/AGE-WELL, and Health Research BC.
