Glen Lester Sequiera

Dr. Glen Lester Sequiera has been working since 2008 in the field of cellular reprogramming, disease modelling and drug screening. He earned his Ph.D. in stem cell physiology in the laboratory of Dr. Sanjiv Dhingra, the University of Manitoba, where he focused on developing a clinical-trial-matching platform for novel rare genetic disorders through multi-lineage differentiation.
Following his Ph.D., Glen is continuing his scientific pursuits in rare diseases as a Postdoctoral Fellow, guided by Dr. Mahmoud Pouladi and Dr. Michael R. Hayden at the University of British Columbia. In this role, he is working on assessing the impact of repeat expansions in Huntington’s Disease and generating multi-lineage 3-dimensional brain organoids to study neuronal network development.
