Dr. David Scott, MBChB PhD, is a clinician scientist at BC Cancer and associate professor at the University of British Columbia. He completed his hematology training in Auckland, New Zealand before coming to Vancouver in 2010 as a post-doctoral fellow. In 2014, he was appointed as an attending physician at BC Cancer, where he treats patients with lymphoma.
He is the clinical director of the BC Cancer Centre for Lymphoid Cancer and deputy head of the BC Cancer Research Centre’s Department of Lymphoid Cancer Research. His laboratory has a focus on understanding the molecular underpinnings of aggressive lymphoma and mechanisms of treatment resistance. The goal of this research is to provide better tools to match treatments to patients based on the biology of their tumour.
