Bryn Lander

Dr. Bryn Lander is a post-doctoral researcher working at the Centre for Clinical Epidemiology and Evaluation. Her research interests explore the interface between biomedical research and application. Connecting research to value is increasingly important in an era of tightened national budgets. Translation between research and application, and vice versa, is key to ensuring that research remains relevant.

Dr. Lander’s post-doctoral research will explore the relationship between clinical practice and research in Vancouver’s teaching hospitals through a series of case studies. This builds off of a series of research projects that Dr. Lander has worked on exploring knowledge translation and the role of hospitals in research and development through a case study of two clinician-scientists; an exploration of regenerative medicine research and development activities in India; and an investigation of collaboration between individuals working on infection and immunity research and development in universities, hospitals, government, NGOs, and firms.
