Dr. Brianne Kent (PhD) is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at Simon Fraser University and a Tier II Canada Research Chair in Translational Neuroscience and Dementia.
She trained as a neuroscientist at Simon Fraser University (BA, 2009), Yale University (MSc 2010, MPhil 2011), University of Cambridge (PhD, 2015), University of British Columbia (Postdoc 2015-2019), and Harvard Medical School (Postdoctoral Certificate in Sleep Medicine, 2019-2020).
Her research program examines the fundamental processes underlying cognition, circadian rhythms, and neurodegenerative disease in both rodent models and humans. In addition to research, Kent is an Open Science advocate and member of the CIHR Governing Council.
