Anurag Singh

Anurag Singh is a nephrologist based in Northern Health, an Assistant Professor in the UBC Department of Medicine (Division of Nephrology) with an affiliate appointment with the Division of Medical Sciences at the University of Northern BC. Anurag serves in the leadership role as the inaugural Director of the tri-partite (UBC-NHA-UNBC) Northern Centre for Clinical Research.  

Anurag graduated from Government Medical College Amritsar (India) with a degree in medicine. Subsequently, he completed his postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Nephrology at the University of Bristol, UK, including a research fellowship leading to a PhD.   

He is interested in understanding how digital solutions can be implemented to bridge gaps in access and promote health equity. He is building an interdisciplinary research program to study how existing digital healthcare models can be adapted to build capacity and provide equitable and culturally safe healthcare to residents in rural, remote and Indigenous communities.
