Andy Jia

Andy Jia is a Master of Science student specializing in Interdisciplinary Oncology at the University of British Columbia (UBC). His current clinical research involves investigating novel detection methods for early-stage testicular cancer in the Nappi Lab at the Vancouver Prostate Centre. He aims to enhance clinical decision-making, minimize treatment toxicity, and optimize cost-effectiveness in managing testicular cancer for the young patient population.
He completed his Bachelor of Science in Integrated Sciences at UBC with Distinction in 2022, and during his degree, he was involved in pediatric Ewing Sarcoma research at the BC Cancer Research Centre.
Andy has received the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Pediatric Oncology Student Training Grant (2022), the UBC Faculty of Medicine Graduate Award and BPOC Graduate Excellence Award (2023), and the CANTRAIN-CTTP & Michael Smith Health Research BC Master’s Studentship Award (2023).
