Andrei Krassioukov

Dr. Andrei Krassioukov is a clinician-scientist and an internationally recognised leading expert in the area of autonomic dysfunctions following spinal cord injury (SCI). He obtained his MD (Volgograd, Russia) and PhD (St Petersburg, Russia). He is currently with the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and co-director and scientist at the International Collaboration on Repair Discovery (ICORD) at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, BC, with an endowed Chair in Spinal Cord Rehabilitation Research. He is also a staff physician at the SCI program at the GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre. He is Chair of ASIA/ISCoS; Member of ISCoS Council; President elect of ASIA.

Krassioukov’s research is supported by multiple Canadian funding agencies including CIHR, HSF, CFI, RHI, H. Craig Neilsen Foundation, Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, Wings for Life, and others. Awards and recognitions include the inaugural Alan Brown Award from ASIA and elected fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences.
