Surrey Hospitals Foundation is the largest funder of health care for families in Surrey. Since 1992, Surrey Hospitals Foundation has raised over $200 million by inspiring and enabling our community to support innovative medicine and life-changing care. We support the primary health care facilities in the region: Surrey Memorial Hospital, Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre, Czorny Alzheimer Centre, and numerous specialized programs for newborns, children, adults, and seniors.

COVID-19 Research Capacity Building Partnership
Project title
In 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Michael Smith Health Research BC partnered with Surrey Hospitals Foundation and Fraser Health to build research capacity at Surrey Memorial Hospital and enable innovative, life-saving COVID-19 research in the Fraser Health region. This partnership also allows Fraser Health to recruit the best and develop future talent, while empowering young researchers to build their skill sets on site in Surrey Memorial Hospital. This partnership is anticipated to continue through 2023.
