The RAPP team has spent the last month planning for the next phase of work to streamline research approvals. Analyses of British Columbia-specific circumstances and other jurisdictions have informed the creation of proposed goals and plans for each workstream, which are currently in discussion with health authority research leadership. RAPP is also ensuring a strong focus on how it can best support health system efficiency both by advancing quality health research and identifying and implementing efficient practices.

As work progresses, RAPP is reinstating working groups specific to each workstream to advance these goals and plans. The working groups will play a key role in developing and finalizing the Phase 2 deliverables, as well as initiating the next steps to advance them.

The RAPP team is also keeping up to date with other work happening nationally, especially through the ACT Consortium and the CanReview group, as well as in other provinces where substantial changes are being made in research approvals, such as Manitoba and Atlantic Canada.
