Yongjin Lim

Dr. Lim is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia. He received his PhD in Physiology and Pharmacology at the University of Western Ontario, where his research focused on using untargeted metabolomics to discover predictive and early biomarkers of cispatin-induced kidney injury. Dr Lim’s postdoctoral research in the Velenosi Lab focuses on investigating the effects of obesity on lipid metabolism in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and response to immunotherapy. His research aims to uncover the mechanisms responsible for favourable outcomes observed in obese patients receiving immunotherapy for the treatment of TNBC compared non-obese patients.
