Raza Malik

Raza N. Malik, PhD, is a postdoctoral fellow in the Autonomic Research Laboratory at the International Collaboration On Repair Discoveries (ICORD) under the mentorship of Dr. Andrei V. Krassioukov. Dr. Malik received his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia (UBC). He then completed his MSc and PhD (Neurorehabilitation) degrees at UBC/ICORD under the mentorship of Dr. Tania Lam. His Master’s and Doctoral work focused on visual and proprioceptive control of locomotion for understanding community ambulation after SCI. Dr. Malik’s Postdoctoral research will focus on using electrical spinal cord stimulation for the recovery of autonomic function after SCI. Dr. Malik is interested in therapies and mechanisms underlying recovery of sensorimotor and autonomic function after SCI.
