Nina Radisavljevic

Dr. Nina Radisavljevic completed her PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of British Columbia in 2023. She previously earned an Honours Biochemistry Bachelor’s of Science degree from the University of Victoria. She now leverages her experience in disease models, neurodegenerative disorders, and biochemical techniques as a post-doctoral research fellow in the lab of Dr. Brian MacVicar at the University of British Columbia’s Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health. Through the Mitacs Elevate Fellowship in partnership with Health Research BC, Nina is now investigating in vivo testing of LNP-mRNA therapeutics in an animal model of Gaucher Disease as an intern with CereCura Nanotherapeutics. This work will identify novel methods of therapeutic protein administration in the brain, with potential impacts on therapies for numerous brain disorders.
