Maryam Mirlohi

I am Maryam Mirlohi, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Victoria specializing in biomedical research. With a background in biochemistry, I work under the supervision of Dr. Akbari in the Laboratory for Innovation in Microengineering (LiME). I am passionate about understanding the tumor microenvironment and am actively developing 3D immunocompetent tumor models to investigate immune interactions in glioblastoma. Additionally, my research focuses on utilizing microcarriers for enhanced cell culture and expansion in cell therapy to improve therapeutic efficacy.
