Dr. Maryam Asadi holds a PhD in Computer Engineering with a focus on Artificial Intelligence from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran. Her academic prowess was recognized with the Talented Student Award during both her bachelor’s and master’s studies, as well as the Elite Foundation Scholarship for two consecutive years during her doctoral research. Following her PhD, her deep passion for mathematics and algorithms, combined with a dedication to enhancing healthcare, inspired her to explore the application of AI in medical image analysis.
Currently, her research specializes in the application of machine learning and deep learning methods for analyzing histopathology images, with a particular focus on gynecological cancers, including ovarian and endometrial cancers. She has authored several high-impact journal and conference papers, leveraging AI in histopathology to deepen the understanding of diseases and pave the way for more informed clinical decisions and improved patient outcomes. Her recent publication identified a novel subtype of endometrial cancer using AI, offering crucial insights for personalized treatment approaches.
