Dr. Larry Leung is an Associate Professor of Teaching at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of British Columbia. He currently serves in the following leadership capacities—course coordinator of PHRM141 Seminar: Pharmacists in Practice I, PHRM261: Indigenous Health and Cultural Safety, and PHRM323 Pharmaceutical Care in Indigenous Health; Interprofessional Education Curricular Theme co-lead; Neurology Module co-lead. Larry has a passion for community-based participatory action research and conducts his neurology-related educational and practice research through his team, “Building Resources and Accessibility in Neurology” (BRAIN). He is also the co-founder of the research lab, UPROOT (https://uproot.pharmsci.ubc.ca/), which focuses on decolonization efforts in research, practice, and education. He currently holds grants from the Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy, Vancouver Foundation, Canadian Institutes of Health Research, and McKesson Foundation. Larry was the recipient of the Killam Teaching Prize 2024/25, Master Teaching Award 2025, and West Coast Teaching Award for Excellence 2022.Â
