Ihoghosa Iyamu

Ihoghosa (Muyi) Iyamu is a health services researcher and post-doctoral fellow at the School of Population and Public Health, University of British Columbia (UBC). His research focuses on using implementation science, design thinking, and evaluation methods to improve digital health programs, making healthcare more accessible and equitable. Muyi has collaborated with the BC Centre for Disease Control’s Digital and Sexual Health Initiative to enhance sexual health services like GetCheckedOnline. He has also conducted research on the competencies needed for the digital transformation of public health in Canada. Muyi trained as a physician at the University of Benin, Nigeria, and earned his PhD at UBC. He has led research in multiple settings, including HIV/AIDS control programs funded by PEPFAR in Nigeria. Currently, his post-doctoral work focuses on ensuring the sustainable implementation of digital public health interventions like GetCheckedOnline.
