I am a doctoral student in the School of Population and Public Health at the University of British Columbia. I have gained a unique skill set through my experience as a dental hygienist and quality assurance inspector in the United Kingdom (UK), which was integral in obtaining the Health System Impact Fellowship. I have honed my quality improvement expertise in evaluating healthcare providers for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. My extensive background in inspecting various healthcare services, from hospitals to independent ambulance services, has equipped me with a deep understanding of this landscape. I hold a Masters in Health Sciences from St. George’s University of London and a Masters in Law, Legal Aspects of Medical Practice, from Cardiff University. I am particularly interested in the ethical allocation of limited healthcare resources, which inspired me to pursue my PhD.
