Dr. Hamid Pahlevaninezhad received his BSc degree in electrical engineering from Isfahan University of Technology in 2002, MSc degree in electronics and photonics from Amirkabir University of Technology in 2005, and PhD degree in electromagnetics and photonics from the University of Victoria. He then joined the technical staff of the British Columbia Cancer Research Centre as a post-doctoral fellow working on optical imaging for lung cancer detection. His research focuses mainly on optical coherence tomography and autofluorescence imaging for detection of early cancer in the lungs and other organs.
