Haisheng Fu

Dr. Haisheng Fu is a postdoctoral researcher at Simon Fraser University (SFU), Canada. He obtained his Ph.D. in Electronic Science and Technology from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2023. During his Ph.D., he was awarded the prestigious CSC Scholarship and completed a two-year joint research program at SFU. Dr. Fu’s research focuses on image and video compression, video understanding, and human action recognition. He has published over 15 first-author papers in top-tier journals and conferences, including IEEE Transactions on Image Processing (TIP), IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology (TCSVT), ECCV, DCC, and ICASSP. He is currently leading a Mitacs Elevate postdoctoral project in Canada. In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Fu has completed research internships at Google and AltumView, and serves as a reviewer for leading journals and conferences such as TPAMI, TIP, TMM, CVPR, and ICASSP.
