Eman Hassan

Dr. Eman Hassan is the executive director of the BC Centre for Palliative Care and an adjunct professor in the Palliative Medicine Division at the University of British Columbia. Her bereavement research in the context of homelessness is funded by the Health Research BC – REACH award. In addition to her medical degree, Dr. Hassan completed a Master of Public Health and a two-year CIHR-funded fellowship in health services research at the University of British Columbia. Her current research interests include the development, evaluation, and spread of promising innovation and evidence-based interventions using implementation science, co-design, and consensus building approaches. Dr. Hassan’s work aims to enhance access to high quality palliative care including bereavement supports in all care settings.
