My research focuses on neuroimmunology, particularly the role granzymes in aging, neuroinflammation, tissue repair, and chronic itch. I investigate how granzymes affect glial responses, neuron-glia communication, and sensory neuron function in models of pruritus and aging. My expertise includes in vivo mouse models, primary neuronal and glial cultures, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, and behavioral assays. My long-term goal is to identify immune targets that modulate neural function and regeneration, with translational relevance for neurological diseases involving immune dysregulation.
