Corinne Hohl

Corinne completed her MDCM and FRPC at McGill University before Masters training in Epidemiology at UBC. She is a Professor in UBC’s Department of Emergency Medicine, Scientist at the Centre for Clinical Epidemiology and Evaluation, and Associate Member of UBC’s School of Population and Public Health. She practices Emergency Medicine at Vancouver General Hospital and provides locum coverage in rural and remote Emergency Departments in BC. Her research interests are in Emergency Medicine, patient safety, health systems innovation, learning health systems, and innovative trials. In 2020, she became the Chair of the Canadian COVID-19 Emergency Department Rapid Response Network which informed the pandemic response and became the largest active research network in the history of Emergency Medicine in Canada. In 2022, was awarded the Dr, Ian Stiell Researcher of the Year Award by the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians. Her goal is to facilitate impactful inclusive patient-oriented research and quality improvement and accelerate knowledge translation and innovation in Emergency Care across the province to benefit patients and health system sustainability.
