Céline Laumont

Céline M. Laumont is a Banting post-doctoral fellow working with Dr. Brad H. Nelson at the Deeley Research Center (BC Cancer Victoria). She obtained her PhD in Molecular Biology from the Université de Montréal under the supervision of Dr. Claude Perreault, where they discovered that non-coding regions of the genome are the main source of tumour antigens. Céline also holds a BSc in Life Sciences from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris, France).

During her post-doctoral fellowship at BC Cancer, Céline will focus on deciphering how antibody-producing B cells help control tumour growth in ovarian cancer. Mechanisms uncovered throughout this project will help design new immunotherapies boosting anti-tumour immunity and prolonging patient survival.
