Carolyn Wang

Carolyn is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Heart Lung Innovation at St. Paul’s Hospital and the University of British Columbia. Her research explores the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying the structure-function of the airway epithelium in response to environmental exposures (cannabis smoking) and within various phenotypes of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. With access to an extensive biobank of human samples, Carolyn hopes to utilize these clinical data to identify novel, druggable targets, providing a gateway to precision health for patients.
