Cameron McRae is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Simon Fraser University’s Centre for Infectious Disease Genomics and One Health (CIDGOH), collaborating with Dr. William Hsiao (SFU) and Dr. Yann Cornell (UBC) on a two-year SSHRC and Health Research BC-funded research project. With an interdisciplinary background, Cameron’s research spans management science, technology, and health, focusing on sustainable development and strengthening Indigenous food systems. His work also reflects his mixed Huron-Wendat and settler Scottish/French heritage.
Cameron earned his PhD in Management, specializing in Marketing and Information Systems, from McGill University, where his thesis focused on precision retailing in agri-food markets. He also holds a Master of Health Informatics from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology and Therapeutics from McGill University. His research has been published in high-impact journals, and he has presented at numerous international conferences. Before transitioning to academia, Cameron held various management roles in the health tech industry.
