Dr. Alyson Wong is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia (UBC). She is a respirologist at St. Paul’s Hospital and scientist at the Centre for Advancing Health Outcomes. Her primary clinical and research interest is in Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD).
Her research focuses on health outcomes research, with a particular interest in integrating health economics and clinical research to provide high quality, cost-effective, and patient-centred ILD care.
Dr. Wong completed her core medical training at UBC, followed by a Respirology fellowship at Dalhousie University. She subsequently returned to UBC where she completed a 2-year clinical and research fellowship in ILD and a Master of Health Science. Her research has been supported by the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, the BC and Canadian Lung Associations, Michael Smith Health Research BC, and CIHR.
