Alysha is a PhD candidate exploring the role of gender in teen dietary habits. Through her research, Alysha specifically aims to support high school students in navigating their food choices. As a coach and former athlete, Alysha has a strongly interest in understanding how student athletes’ dietary habits impact their well-being and the role of coaches within this. Keeping the voices of key end-users, like athletes, at the forefront, Alysha relies on participatory research methods such as advisory panels in her projects to co-developing more inclusive and sustainable dietary interventions.
