Travis De Wolfe

Dr. Travis De Wolfe is a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Department of Pediatrics at the University of British Columbia where his research interests include inflammatory bowel diseases, host-microbe interactions, and ecology of the gut microbiome. He received his Ph.D. in Food Science from the University of Wisconsin - Madison where he studied the impact of probiotic treatment on the gut microbiome during infections caused by Clostridioides difficile. Before joining the University of British Columbia he was awarded a National Institutes of Health postdoctoral traineeship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in the Department of Biomedical Informatics. His goal as a health researcher is to use translational science and biomedical informatics to better understand the role of the gut microbiome in modulating mammalian health.
